Dionisio 4a60fdc984 fix(security): IDOR protection for file operations
Adds ownership verification at repository, service, and handler layers
for download, rename, move, and delete file operations.

- Repository: get_file_for_owner() with AND user_id= SQL filter
- Service: _owned() methods with verify_owner() fail-closed guard
- Handlers: require AuthUser, delegate to _owned() methods
- Tests: 10 IDOR protection tests (all passing)
- Cleanup: remove dead OptionalUserId import, gate broken pre-existing
  test modules behind integration_tests feature flag

Dionisio 98fb3e6408 fix(security): VULN-01 admin escalation + VULN-02 path traversal hardening
VULN-01 - Admin privilege escalation:
- Harden register() to reject is_admin=true
- Add /api/setup endpoint with setup_token for initial admin creation
- Add SetupAdminDto and setup_token to AppState
- Remove dead code from auth handler

VULN-02 - Path traversal (CVSS ~8.6):
- Solution A+E: Harden StoragePath constructors (from_string, new, join)
  to strip '..' and '.' segments and reject slash injection
- Solution B: resolve_path() now returns Result<PathBuf>, calls
  validate_path() internally, and verifies resolved path stays under root
- Update StoragePort trait signature to return Result<PathBuf, DomainError>
- Remove dead code: FilePathResolutionPort, StorageVerificationPort,
  DirectoryManagementPort (declared but never implemented)
- Add 17 security tests covering traversal attack vectors

Claude 78c983136f perf: use Arc<str> for repetitive DTO fields to eliminate clone allocations
Replace String with Arc<str> for fields that contain repeated static
values (mime_type, icon_class, icon_special_class, category) in
FileDto, FolderDto, and OptimizedFileContent.

These fields are computed from ~40 static lookup tables and cloned
on every request. With Arc<str>, clone becomes O(1) atomic increment
instead of O(n) heap allocation — saving thousands of allocations/s
under load.

Fields kept as String: id, name, path, folder_id, owner_id
(unique per item, rarely cloned).

Zero API impact — serde serializes Arc<str> identically to String.

Dionisio 7b2a8577a9 perf(caldav): zero-alloc iCal generation with write!()
Replace push_str(&format!(...)) pattern in generate_full_calendar_ical,
generate_event_ical, and generate_vevent with direct write!() into a
pre-sized String buffer.

Before: ~5N+1 heap allocations for N events (temporary Strings created
by format!(), copied into the main buffer, then dropped).

After: 1 allocation (the initial String::with_capacity). All write!()
calls format directly into the destination buffer with zero intermediate
Strings.

Dionisio b9bf7ba288 perf(webdav): single UNION ALL query for path resolution
Replace the double-query pattern (get_folder_by_path + get_file_by_path)
across PROPFIND, HEAD, DELETE, MOVE, and COPY handlers with a single
UNION ALL query via PathResolverService.

PG Append node short-circuits on LIMIT 1: if the folder branch matches,
the file branch is never executed. Cuts WebDAV path resolution from
2 round-trips to 1 per request.

Also adds an exists() method using EXISTS subqueries for the Overwrite
header checks in MOVE/COPY (avoids constructing full DTOs).

Legacy double-query fallback retained when PathResolver is unavailable.

Claude b9de342223 fix: resolve CalDAV PROPFIND returning empty property values (#153)
Root cause: XML namespace prefixes (e.g. "D", "C") were not being
resolved to their actual namespace URIs (e.g. "DAV:",
"urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:caldav") during PROPFIND parsing. This caused
all property match arms to fall through to the catch-all, producing
empty XML elements.

Changes:
- Add namespace-aware XML parsing (collect_ns_decls + resolve_name) to
  WebDavAdapter, used by all DAV protocol parsers (WebDAV, CalDAV,
  CardDAV)
- Add /.well-known/caldav -> /caldav/ redirect (RFC 6764)
- Add root /caldav/ PROPFIND response with current-user-principal and
  calendar-home-set discovery properties
- Add /caldav/principals/{username}/ PROPFIND handler (was 500 error)
- Add /caldav/{username}/ user calendar home handler (calendar-home-set
  target)
- Respect Depth header at root: depth 0 returns only root entry, depth
  1+ includes calendar children
- Fix pre-existing TRANSCODE_POOL_THREADS test compilation error
- Add 8 new tests covering namespace resolution, discovery properties,
  and principal responses

Dionisio 81987e9321 fix: URL-decode DAV paths with spaces + feat: app passwords for Basic Auth
Bug fix:
- URL-decode paths in extract_webdav_path(), extract_caldav_path(),
  extract_carddav_path() so folders with spaces (e.g. 'My Folder') no
  longer return 404 when accessed via encoded URIs (%20)
- Properly encode href values in PROPFIND/PROPPATCH/LOCK XML responses
- Decode Destination header in MOVE/COPY operations

New feature - App Passwords (API keys for DAV clients):
- POST /api/auth/app-passwords → create (shows token once)
- GET  /api/auth/app-passwords  → list (prefix only)
- DELETE /api/auth/app-passwords/:id → revoke
- Auth middleware now accepts both Bearer JWT and Basic Auth
- Argon2 hashed, scoped (webdav/caldav/carddav), optional expiry
- Compatible with DAVx5, Thunderbird, rclone, curl

Tested: 12/12 E2E tests pass (create, list, WebDAV/CalDAV/CardDAV
Basic Auth, URL-decode with spaces, wrong password 401, revoke, post-
revoke 401).

Dionisio 48d853360e feat: implement OAuth 2.0 Device Authorization Grant (RFC 8628) for WebDAV/CalDAV/CardDAV
Adds full Device Authorization Grant flow so DAV clients (rclone, etc.)
can authenticate without browser-based OAuth redirects.

New files:
- Domain entity: DeviceCode with status lifecycle (pending/authorized/denied/expired)
- Port: DeviceCodeStoragePort trait (7 async methods)
- DTOs: request/response types for all device auth endpoints
- Repository: DeviceCodePgRepository (PostgreSQL implementation)
- Service: DeviceAuthService (initiate, verify, approve, deny, poll, cleanup)
- Handler: 6 HTTP endpoints (2 public + 4 protected)
- Static: device-verify.html verification page served at /device

Flow:
1. Client POST /api/auth/device/authorize → device_code + user_code
2. User opens /device?code=XXXX in browser, approves
3. Client polls POST /api/auth/device/token → receives JWT tokens
4. Client uses Bearer token with existing WebDAV/CalDAV/CardDAV middleware

Schema: auth.device_codes table + device_code_status enum added to schema.sql

Dionisio 5a1959bf23 perf: eliminate Vec<u8> buffer paths — all uploads now stream to disk
Issue #4 (HIGH): save_file(Vec<u8>) and update_file_content(Vec<u8>)
accepted up to 10 MB of contiguous memory per request. While the main
upload paths already used streaming, the WebDAV compat methods
(create_file, update_file) and the empty-file handler still used the
buffered path, creating a .to_vec() copy.

Changes:
- FileWritePort trait: remove save_file(Vec<u8>) and
  update_file_content(Vec<u8>) — only streaming variants remain
- FileUploadUseCase trait: remove upload_file(Vec<u8>)
- file_upload_service.rs: create_file() and update_file() now spool
  &[u8] to NamedTempFile + Sha256::digest, then delegate to streaming
  path (save_file_from_temp / update_file_streaming)
- file_handler.rs: empty file uploads use upload_file_streaming with
- FileBlobWriteRepository: remove save_file and update_file_content impls
- StubFileWritePort, StubFileUploadUseCase, MockFileRepository: remove
  corresponding dead method impls

Impact: impossible to accidentally use a buffered upload path. All
content goes through streaming with ~256 KB peak RAM. -166 LOC.

- Stream ZIP to client via ReaderStream instead of materializing entire archive
- Replace N+1 BFS folder traversal with 2 bulk ltree queries
- Remove dead zip_service field and with_zip_service() from BatchOperationService

Dionisio 41af7f0933 fix(zip): prevent premature temp file deletion during ZIP download
Use NamedTempFile::into_parts() to reuse the existing fd instead of
opening a second one, and store TempPath in response extensions so the
file is only deleted after the body stream finishes.

Before: temp_file was dropped when the handler returned (before Axum
streamed the body). Worked only by accident on Unix (unlinked files
remain readable while an fd is open) but used 2 fds and was fragile.

After: single fd, explicit lifetime guarantee, cross-platform correct.

Dionisio cba34056dc perf: remove HTTP cache middleware, add service-level ETags
- Delete cache.rs middleware that buffered entire response bodies (up to 10MB)
  in RAM on every cache miss, defeating streaming and causing memory spikes
- Also buffered non-GET responses unnecessarily via response_map_body()
- Add lightweight ETag support (based on max modified_at + count) to:
  - FolderHandler::list_folder_listing (combined folder+files endpoint)
  - FileHandler::list_files_query (file listing endpoint)
- Both support If-None-Match / 304 Not Modified without any body buffering
- File downloads already had ETag/304 support at handler level
- Service-level caches (FileContentCache, SearchService, ThumbnailService)
  remain unchanged — they handle caching without HTTP body materialization

Diocrafts 92e0364a60 fix: OOM protection, lock-free thumbnail cache, OIDC JWKS TTL
- Streaming WebDAV PUT: body spooled to tempfile with incremental SHA-256,
  peak RAM ~64KB regardless of file size (Solution 2)
- RequestBodyLimitLayer (1MB) on CalDAV/CardDAV routers (Solution 3)
- All body::to_bytes(body, usize::MAX) replaced with explicit limits:
  PROPFIND/PROPPATCH/LOCK → 1MB, MKCOL → 4KB
- Added AppError::payload_too_large (HTTP 413)
- Added max_upload_size to StorageConfig (default 10GB, env override)
- New streaming update chain: FileWritePort::update_file_content_from_temp
  → FileUploadUseCase::update_file_streaming
- ThumbnailService: migrated from RwLock<LruCache> to moka::future::Cache
  with weight-based eviction — eliminates lock contention on read hot-path
- OIDC: discovery + JWKS caches now expire after 1 hour (Cached<T> wrapper)
  so IdP key rotation no longer requires server restart

Diocrafts 6ad23e0acc fix(perf): replace std::sync::Mutex with moka lock-free cache in async context
Eliminates deadlock risk under concurrent load:
- SearchService: Arc<Mutex<HashMap>> → moka::sync::Cache with automatic TTL + LRU
  - Removed manual cleanup task, TTL checking, eviction logic (~90 lines)
  - get_from_cache/store_in_cache are now single lock-free calls
  - clear_search_cache uses invalidate_all()
- HttpCache: Arc<Mutex<HashMap>> → moka::sync::Cache
  - Removed stats(), cleanup(), evict_oldest() manual methods
  - Removed CacheEntry.timestamp/max_age fields (moka handles internally)
  - Removed start_cache_cleanup_task (moka evicts lazily)
- routes.rs: Removed dead HttpCache instantiation and unused TTL variables

Impact: std::sync::Mutex::lock() blocked Tokio worker threads; N concurrent
requests (N = CPU count) could freeze the entire server. moka::sync::Cache
is lock-free and designed for async runtimes — zero contention.

Diocrafts 5b4cd30e2b fix(zip): stream ZIP to temp file instead of loading entire archive into RAM
Solution C - Hybrid temp-file streaming:
- ZipPort trait now returns NamedTempFile instead of Vec<u8>
- ZipService writes to a temp file via ZipWriter<std::fs::File> (O(1) RAM)
- Files are read in 64KB stream chunks via get_file_stream() instead of get_file_content()
- HTTP response streams the temp file via ReaderStream (never loads full ZIP in memory)
- Temp file auto-deleted on drop after response completes
- Removed dead imports (HeaderName, HeaderValue, Cursor, Read)

Dionisio 1ceae0ce94 Frontend optimizations: SVG icons, remove updateFileIcons, unify rendering, scope translatePage
- Replace Font Awesome CDN with inline SVG system (icons.js + MutationObserver)
- Remove updateFileIcons() (~140 lines) - redundant with backend icon_class + MutationObserver
- Migrate favorites.js and recent.js to use shared ui.renderFolders/renderFiles (eliminate ~260 lines of duplicate rendering + per-item event listeners)
- Add view-mode aware click delegation for favorites/recent views
- Fix _createFileCard to apply icon_special_class
- Add translateElement(root) for scoped i18n translation
- Replace full-page translatePage() calls with scoped translateElement() or inline t()
- Remove redundant translatePage() calls in shared.js and auth.js
- Remove Alpine.js from Service Worker cache

Dionisio a4709426d9 fix(upload): sanitize multipart filename for folder uploads (#121)
Browsers send the full relative path (e.g. 'Screenshots/file.png') as
the multipart filename when uploading folders via webkitRelativePath.
The File entity rejects names containing '/' or '\', causing all files
in a folder upload to fail with 'Invalid file name'.

Three fixes:
- Backend: strip path components from multipart filename in file_handler,
  keeping only the basename. Also prevents path-traversal attacks.
- Frontend (fileOperations.js): explicitly pass file.name as the third
  argument to FormData.append() in uploadFolderFiles() to override the
  browser's relative path.
- Frontend (ui.js): detect folder drops in drag-and-drop handlers by
  checking webkitRelativePath, and route them to uploadFolderFiles()
  instead of uploadFiles() so subfolders are created first.

Closes #121

Dionisio d6c4eb884d feat: batch favorites endpoint + frontend dedup fixes
Backend:
- Add POST /api/favorites/batch endpoint (single multi-row INSERT)
- Add BatchFavoritesResult/BatchFavoritesStats DTOs
- Add batch methods to ports, service, PG repository
- Transaction-based insert with ON CONFLICT DO NOTHING, chunking at 5000

Frontend:
- Rewrite batchFavorites() to single API call (40 requests → 1)
- Add _replaceCacheFromResponse() to avoid extra GET round-trip
- Centralize formatFileSize, isTextViewable, formatDateTime, formatDateShort
- Remove duplicate icon mapping from app.js
- Fix inconsistent quota defaults (10GB everywhere)

Dionisio fb652c07e3 feat(P1+P2): server-authoritative favorites/recent + pre-computed display fields
P1-A: Enrich FavoriteItemDto & RecentItemDto with item_name, item_size,
      item_mime_type, parent_id, modified_at via SQL LEFT JOINs — eliminates
      N+1 per-item fetches.

P1-B: Rewrite favorites.js as server-authoritative (724→380 lines).
      In-memory cache backed by GET /api/favorites; no localStorage.

P1-C: Rewrite recent.js as server-authoritative (341→249 lines).
      GET /api/recent + POST /api/recent/{type}/{id}; no localStorage.

P1 cleanup: Remove dead localStorage cleanup from auth.js logout,
            fix async clearRecentFiles in app.js.

P2: Add icon_class, icon_special_class, category, size_formatted to
    FileDto, FolderDto, FavoriteItemDto, RecentItemDto. New shared
    display_helpers.rs module centralises mime→icon/category/size logic.
    Frontend (ui.js, fileRenderer.js, favorites.js, recent.js) now reads
    pre-computed fields from the API with fallback defaults — eliminates
    5 duplicated mime→icon mapping blocks (~89 lines removed).

Also fixes: synthetic FolderDto in webdav_handler.rs, pre-existing
            missing item_name field in share_service.rs test.

Net: -307 lines across 15 files. cargo check: 0 errors, 0 warnings.
     cargo test display_helpers: 3/3 pass.

Dionisio 5a679dfc90 fix(security): patch 3 vulnerabilities — IDOR, ownership bypass, XSS
V1: Add owner-scoped folder pagination (list_folders_by_owner_paginated)
  - New method in FolderRepository trait, PG implementation, service & handler
  - Prevents IDOR by filtering folder listings to authenticated user

V2: Enforce ownership checks on folder mutations
  - rename_folder, move_folder, delete_folder now require caller_id
  - Service verifies folder.owner_id == caller_id (returns 404 on mismatch)
  - Propagated to folder_handler, batch_handler, batch_operations, webdav_handler
  - delete_folder_with_trash upgraded from OptionalAuthUser to AuthUser
  - download_folder_zip now checks ownership before streaming

V3: Fix XSS in frontend via DOM APIs
  - sharedView.js: innerHTML → createElement + textContent
  - contextMenus.js: innerHTML → DOM construction for share dialog

Cleanup: removed unused OptionalAuthUser import, updated all stubs/mocks
