Dionisio 48d853360e feat: implement OAuth 2.0 Device Authorization Grant (RFC 8628) for WebDAV/CalDAV/CardDAV
Adds full Device Authorization Grant flow so DAV clients (rclone, etc.)
can authenticate without browser-based OAuth redirects.

New files:
- Domain entity: DeviceCode with status lifecycle (pending/authorized/denied/expired)
- Port: DeviceCodeStoragePort trait (7 async methods)
- DTOs: request/response types for all device auth endpoints
- Repository: DeviceCodePgRepository (PostgreSQL implementation)
- Service: DeviceAuthService (initiate, verify, approve, deny, poll, cleanup)
- Handler: 6 HTTP endpoints (2 public + 4 protected)
- Static: device-verify.html verification page served at /device

Flow:
1. Client POST /api/auth/device/authorize → device_code + user_code
2. User opens /device?code=XXXX in browser, approves
3. Client polls POST /api/auth/device/token → receives JWT tokens
4. Client uses Bearer token with existing WebDAV/CalDAV/CardDAV middleware

Schema: auth.device_codes table + device_code_status enum added to schema.sql

Closes #152

Dionisio 5a1959bf23 perf: eliminate Vec<u8> buffer paths — all uploads now stream to disk
Issue #4 (HIGH): save_file(Vec<u8>) and update_file_content(Vec<u8>)
accepted up to 10 MB of contiguous memory per request. While the main
upload paths already used streaming, the WebDAV compat methods
(create_file, update_file) and the empty-file handler still used the
buffered path, creating a .to_vec() copy.

Changes:
- FileWritePort trait: remove save_file(Vec<u8>) and
update_file_content(Vec<u8>) — only streaming variants remain
- FileUploadUseCase trait: remove upload_file(Vec<u8>)
- file_upload_service.rs: create_file() and update_file() now spool
&[u8] to NamedTempFile + Sha256::digest, then delegate to streaming
  path (save_file_from_temp / update_file_streaming)
- file_handler.rs: empty file uploads use upload_file_streaming with
- FileBlobWriteRepository: remove save_file and update_file_content impls
- StubFileWritePort, StubFileUploadUseCase, MockFileRepository: remove
  corresponding dead method impls

Impact: impossible to accidentally use a buffered upload path. All
content goes through streaming with ~256 KB peak RAM. -166 LOC.

Dionisio 5f883aa0f8 perf: rewrite batch download_zip to stream via temp file instead of RAM
- Replace in-memory Cursor<Vec<u8>> with async_zip + NamedTempFile (O(256KB) RAM)
- Stream ZIP to client via ReaderStream instead of materializing entire archive
- Replace N+1 BFS folder traversal with 2 bulk ltree queries
- Remove dead zip_service field and with_zip_service() from BatchOperationService
- Remove synchronous zip crate dependency (only async_zip remains)
- Eliminates ~2.5GB RAM spike per 2GB batch download

Dionisio 7786871d6c feat: P1 — audio/video modal player + MIME detection via magic bytes (infer)
Backend:
- Add infer crate for magic-byte MIME detection (<1μs per file)
- New src/common/mime_detect.rs: refine_content_type() with priority
  magic bytes > extension > client Content-Type
- Inject MIME refinement in file upload handler (after spool to temp)
- Inject MIME refinement in chunked upload handler (after assembly)

Frontend:
- Extend isViewableFile() to include audio/* and video/*
- Add createMediaViewer() to InlineViewer with <audio>/<video> controls
- Blob URL pattern for authenticated streaming playback
- Graceful fallback for unsupported codecs (error message + download)
- CSS: video player, audio wrapper with animated icon, responsive

Dionisio 41af7f0933 fix(zip): prevent premature temp file deletion during ZIP download
Use NamedTempFile::into_parts() to reuse the existing fd instead of
opening a second one, and store TempPath in response extensions so the
file is only deleted after the body stream finishes.

Before: temp_file was dropped when the handler returned (before Axum
streamed the body). Worked only by accident on Unix (unlinked files
remain readable while an fd is open) but used 2 fds and was fragile.

After: single fd, explicit lifetime guarantee, cross-platform correct.

Dionisio cba34056dc perf: remove HTTP cache middleware, add service-level ETags
- Delete cache.rs middleware that buffered entire response bodies (up to 10MB)
in RAM on every cache miss, defeating streaming and causing memory spikes
- Also buffered non-GET responses unnecessarily via response_map_body()
- Add lightweight ETag support (based on max modified_at + count) to:
  - FolderHandler::list_folder_listing (combined folder+files endpoint)
  - FileHandler::list_files_query (file listing endpoint)
- Both support If-None-Match / 304 Not Modified without any body buffering
- File downloads already had ETag/304 support at handler level
- Service-level caches (FileContentCache, SearchService, ThumbnailService)
remain unchanged — they handle caching without HTTP body materialization

Diocrafts 85908311dc perf: findings 6.1, 6.2, 2.6 — async Argon2, moka cache, full streaming migration
- 6.1: PasswordHasherPort now async_trait with spawn_blocking for Argon2
- 6.2: OIDC pending maps migrated from std::sync::Mutex to moka::sync::Cache with TTL
- 2.6: All file download paths migrated to 64KB streaming (get_file_stream / read_blob_stream)
  - WOPI, dedup, batch ZIP, file_retrieval_service consumers migrated
  - WebDAV COPY uses zero-copy dedup (copy_file)
  - Removed dead code: get_file_content, get_file_mmap, read_blob, read_blob_bytes
from traits, impls, stubs, and mocks (18 files touched)

Diocrafts 92e0364a60 fix: OOM protection, lock-free thumbnail cache, OIDC JWKS TTL
- Streaming WebDAV PUT: body spooled to tempfile with incremental SHA-256,
peak RAM ~64KB regardless of file size (Solution 2)
- RequestBodyLimitLayer (1MB) on CalDAV/CardDAV routers (Solution 3)
- All body::to_bytes(body, usize::MAX) replaced with explicit limits:
  PROPFIND/PROPPATCH/LOCK → 1MB, MKCOL → 4KB
- Added AppError::payload_too_large (HTTP 413)
- Added max_upload_size to StorageConfig (default 10GB, env override)
- New streaming update chain: FileWritePort::update_file_content_from_temp
  → FileUploadUseCase::update_file_streaming
- ThumbnailService: migrated from RwLock<LruCache> to moka::future::Cache
with weight-based eviction — eliminates lock contention on read hot-path
- OIDC: discovery + JWKS caches now expire after 1 hour (Cached<T> wrapper)
so IdP key rotation no longer requires server restart

Diocrafts 6ad23e0acc fix(perf): replace std::sync::Mutex with moka lock-free cache in async context
Eliminates deadlock risk under concurrent load:
- SearchService: Arc<Mutex<HashMap>> → moka::sync::Cache with automatic TTL + LRU
  - Removed manual cleanup task, TTL checking, eviction logic (~90 lines)
  - get_from_cache/store_in_cache are now single lock-free calls
  - clear_search_cache uses invalidate_all()
- HttpCache: Arc<Mutex<HashMap>> → moka::sync::Cache
  - Removed stats(), cleanup(), evict_oldest() manual methods
  - Removed CacheEntry.timestamp/max_age fields (moka handles internally)
  - Removed start_cache_cleanup_task (moka evicts lazily)
- routes.rs: Removed dead HttpCache instantiation and unused TTL variables

Impact: std::sync::Mutex::lock() blocked Tokio worker threads; N concurrent
requests (N = CPU count) could freeze the entire server. moka::sync::Cache
is lock-free and designed for async runtimes — zero contention.

Diocrafts 5b4cd30e2b fix(zip): stream ZIP to temp file instead of loading entire archive into RAM
Solution C - Hybrid temp-file streaming:
- ZipPort trait now returns NamedTempFile instead of Vec<u8>
- ZipService writes to a temp file via ZipWriter<std::fs::File> (O(1) RAM)
- Files are read in 64KB stream chunks via get_file_stream() instead of get_file_content()
- HTTP response streams the temp file via ReaderStream (never loads full ZIP in memory)
- Temp file auto-deleted on drop after response completes
- Removed dead imports (HeaderName, HeaderValue, Cursor, Read)

Dionisio a4709426d9 fix(upload): sanitize multipart filename for folder uploads (#121)
Browsers send the full relative path (e.g. 'Screenshots/file.png') as
the multipart filename when uploading folders via webkitRelativePath.
The File entity rejects names containing '/' or '\', causing all files
in a folder upload to fail with 'Invalid file name'.

Three fixes:
- Backend: strip path components from multipart filename in file_handler,
keeping only the basename. Also prevents path-traversal attacks.
- Frontend (fileOperations.js): explicitly pass file.name as the third
argument to FormData.append() in uploadFolderFiles() to override the
  browser's relative path.
- Frontend (ui.js): detect folder drops in drag-and-drop handlers by
checking webkitRelativePath, and route them to uploadFolderFiles()
instead of uploadFiles() so subfolders are created first.

Dionisio fb652c07e3 feat(P1+P2): server-authoritative favorites/recent + pre-computed display fields
P1-A: Enrich FavoriteItemDto & RecentItemDto with item_name, item_size,
      item_mime_type, parent_id, modified_at via SQL LEFT JOINs — eliminates
      N+1 per-item fetches.

P1-B: Rewrite favorites.js as server-authoritative (724→380 lines).
In-memory cache backed by GET /api/favorites; no localStorage.

P1-C: Rewrite recent.js as server-authoritative (341→249 lines).
      GET /api/recent + POST /api/recent/{type}/{id}; no localStorage.

P1 cleanup: Remove dead localStorage cleanup from auth.js logout,
            fix async clearRecentFiles in app.js.

P2: Add icon_class, icon_special_class, category, size_formatted to
FileDto, FolderDto, FavoriteItemDto, RecentItemDto. New shared
    display_helpers.rs module centralises mime→icon/category/size logic.
    Frontend (ui.js, fileRenderer.js, favorites.js, recent.js) now reads
pre-computed fields from the API with fallback defaults — eliminates
5 duplicated mime→icon mapping blocks (~89 lines removed).

Also fixes: synthetic FolderDto in webdav_handler.rs, pre-existing
missing item_name field in share_service.rs test.

Net: -307 lines across 15 files. cargo check: 0 errors, 0 warnings.
     cargo test display_helpers: 3/3 pass.

Dionisio ebb0aee84e fix(#105): ensure folders are nested inside user home folder
Root cause: when window.app.currentPath was empty/falsy (due to timing,
page state reset, or initialization), the frontend sent parent_id: null.
The backend then created folders at the storage root instead of inside
the user's home folder.

Backend fix (folder_handler.rs):
- Added AuthUser extractor to create_folder handler
- When parent_id is None, auto-resolves the user's home folder
('My Folder - {username}') as the parent folder
- Folders are now always created inside the user's directory tree

Frontend fix (fileOperations.js):
- Changed parent_id fallback from null to window.app.userHomeFolderId
- Prevents sending null parent_id even if currentPath is reset

Search in subfolders: no fix needed — search_recursive() already
traverses the filesystem correctly; it was only failing because folders
were physically flat instead of nested.

Bumps service worker cache to v12.

Dionisio 3f60765d9a fix(#104): enforce storage quota on uploads & fix usage tracking
Backend:
- Add QuotaExceeded error kind mapped to HTTP 507 Insufficient Storage
- Add check_storage_quota() and get_user_storage_info() to StorageUsagePort
- Enforce quota in upload_file_with_cache, upload_file_with_thumbnails (AuthUser extractor)
- Enforce quota in chunked upload create_upload handler
- Add update_user_storage_usage_by_username() for username-based lookup
- Fix extract_username_from_path() to handle subfolders (take first segment only)
- Fix maybe_update_storage_usage() to use username-based lookup instead of passing
username to get_user_by_id (which always failed silently)

Frontend:
- Parse and display quota error messages on upload failure (507 / QuotaExceeded)
- Stop remaining uploads when quota is exceeded
- Call refreshUserData() after uploads to update storage usage display
- Bump service worker cache to v9

Dionisio 05135529ce fix(security): scope root folder listing to authenticated user
Non-admin users were seeing all users' root folders, including the
admin's. Three root causes fixed:

1. Backend: list_root_folders now extracts AuthUser and filters
results so each user only sees their own home folder at the
root level (folders matching 'My Folder - {username}' or
   'Mi Carpeta - {username}').

2. Frontend: findUserHomeFolder() searched only for the Spanish
pattern 'Mi Carpeta - {username}' but the backend creates
folders with the English pattern 'My Folder - {username}'.
   Now checks both naming conventions.

3. Frontend: when the home folder was not found, the code fell
back to folderList[0] — which was usually the admin's folder.
Removed that dangerous fallback; now shows empty root instead.

Dionisio d889e325ac fix: increase body limit to 10 GB to prevent upload truncation (#95)
Axum's default body limit for Multipart extraction is 2 MB.
OxiCloud never overrode this default, so any file upload larger
than ~2 MB was silently truncated.

Added DefaultBodyLimit::max(10 GB) both globally on the app
router and specifically on the file upload routes, matching the
chunked upload capability already in place for large files.

Dionisio c384a08763 fix: fetch OIDC discovery before building authorization URL (#91)
get_authorize_url() was synchronous and fell back to constructing
{issuer}/authorize when the discovery cache was empty. This produced
incorrect URLs for providers like Keycloak whose authorization
endpoint is {issuer}/protocol/openid-connect/auth.

Made get_authorize_url() async so it can call get_discovery() to
fetch the real authorization_endpoint from .well-known/openid-configuration
before the first redirect. The discovery document is cached after the
initial fetch.

Dionisio 1be3e4230a feat: admin can create users manually + disable registration (#85)
Backend:
- POST /api/admin/users — admin-only user creation endpoint
  - username & password required, email optional (auto-generated placeholder)
  - role, quota_bytes, active all configurable
  - creates personal folder automatically
- PUT /api/admin/users/{id}/password — admin password reset
- GET/PUT /api/admin/settings/registration — toggle public registration
  - Supports env var OXICLOUD_DISABLE_REGISTRATION override
  - Blocks POST /api/auth/register when disabled
- AdminCreateUserDto, AdminResetPasswordDto added to settings DTOs
- registration_enabled field added to DashboardStatsDto

Frontend (admin.html):
- 'Create User' button in Users tab with full modal form
  (username, password, email, role, quota)
- 'Reset Password' button per user in actions column
- 'Allow public self-registration' toggle in Dashboard > System
  with warning banner when disabled

Dionisio ea234bc6a1 fix: share dialog not opening + connect to backend API
- Fix showShareDialog: add try-catch, null checks, prevent textContent
from destroying header icon (use span child instead)
- Capture file/folder target before closeContextMenu to prevent race
- createSharedLink now calls real backend POST /api/shares instead of
localStorage-only mock (still caches locally for offline compat)
- Fix share_handler.rs: use OptionalAuthUser instead of AuthUser to
prevent 401 when auth is disabled (same pattern as delete/trash)
- Add null-safety to closeShareDialog
- Reset new-share-section on dialog open

Dionisio 5c53d94c0c feat: fix favorites display and add star indicator on favorited items
- Add ?metadata=true support to GET /api/files/{id} to return JSON metadata
instead of binary content (was the root cause of favorites not loading)
- Fix favorites loadFileDetails to use metadata endpoint with auth headers
- Add star icon on favorited files/folders in grid view (top-left corner)
- Add star icon on favorited files/folders in list view (next to name)
- Refresh file view when toggling favorites so star appears/disappears
- Add CSS styles for .favorite-star and .favorite-star-inline

Dionisio fb65d1976b fix: resolve file management operations not working (#83)
- Fix rename: context menu was nullifying target reference before rename dialog could use it
- Fix delete files/folders: auth extractors were mandatory, causing 401 when auth not configured
- Fix view-file: async fetch race condition with context menu cleanup
- Fix orphaned ID mappings on file deletion
- Fix Authorization: Bearer null headers sent without token
- Add OptionalUserId and OptionalAuthUser infallible extractors

Dionisio e2297d276a fix: resolve admin registration failure on fresh Docker installs (#81)
Three bugs caused 403 errors when creating the first admin on fresh
Docker deployments (Unraid, Komodo):

1. db.rs: Schema application failures were silently swallowed. The app
started with no tables, causing all auth queries to fail. Now the
startup aborts if schema cannot be applied, with a fallback
statement-by-statement executor that handles dollar-quoted blocks.
Retries increased to 5 with 2s intervals.

2. auth_application_service.rs: count_admin_users() used fragile string
matching (contains "does not exist")) on multi-layer wrapped errors.
count_all_users() rejected admin creation on any DB error. Both now
allow admin creation on any error for bootstrap scenarios.

3. auth_handler.rs: Redundant 60-line handler-level admin detection
duplicated service-layer logic and generated noisy ERROR logs on
fresh installs. Removed entirely - service layer handles it all.

Dionisio 1a1dee9179 fix(oidc): add CSRF state validation, PKCE S256, nonce, secure token delivery, registration guard
Security fixes for OIDC authentication flow:

1. CSRF state validation (High): State nonce is now stored server-side
and validated on callback (single-use, 600s TTL)

2. PKCE S256 (Medium): code_challenge/code_verifier pair generated per
RFC 9126, sent in authorize URL and token exchange

3. Nonce in ID token (Medium): Random nonce included in authorize URL,
verified against ID token claims to prevent token replay

4. Secure token delivery (Medium): Tokens no longer in URL fragments.
One-time exchange code redirected to frontend, tokens retrieved via
   POST /api/auth/oidc/exchange endpoint (60s TTL, single-use)

5. Registration guard (Low): POST /api/auth/register returns 403 when
disable_password_login is active in OIDC-only mode
